When you are planning your menu it is possible to select from some of the choices below to make up the menu for your special day:



Choice of two starters:- recommended choice is one hot, one cold

Bacon and mushroom tartlet on mixed leaves with balsamic dressing
Smoked salmon and spring onion tartlet on mixed leaves with honey and Dijon dressing – tartlet fillings can vary please confirm
Traditional shrimp cocktail with marie rose sauce
Honeydew and Galia Melon with fresh fruit and raspberry coulis
Honeydew and Galia Melon with fresh fruit and mango coulis
Chicken and mushroom vol au vent
Crunchy Mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise



Choice of soup course:

Cream of Vegetable soup
Cream of Carrot and Parsnip
Cream of Leek and Potato soup
Cream of Mushroom soup
Cream of Courgette and roast red pepper soup
Cream of Courgette and Lettuce

Choice of two Main courses:

Roast Sirloin of Irish Beef with roast potatoes and red wine jus
Roast Loin of Irish Pork with roast potatoes, and apple sauce
Supreme of Irish Chicken with savoury potato stuffing crispy bacon and rosemary jus
Supreme of Irish Chicken with a creamy white wine and mushroom sauce
Oven-baked Darne of Kenmare Salmon drizzled with basil oil
Oven-baked Darne of Kenmare Salmon , sauce changes seasonally
Vegetarian main course- choice available on request

Choice of Desserts:

We offer a homemade dessert plate with profiteroles with chocolate sauce, meringue with fresh cream and fruit, and apple crumble, served with a drizzle of mango and raspberry coulis, this choice can vary, so please enquire further to confirm.

Other ideas:

· If your guests are travelling to Gougane Barra the morning of your wedding, would you like to organise a tea/coffee and sandwich reception in our sitting room, buffet style, prior to the church ceremony, after the church ceremony, or, at 11pm that night

Or

· Tea/Coffee and small scones dusted with icing sugar with folláin strawberry jam and whipped cream, suitable for before or after the church ceremony

Drinks reception- served in the hall and sitting rooms after the church ceremony

· We have a choice of sparkling wine, pink champagne or champagne, vintage and non vintage, kir or kir royal, prices available on request

· Run a tab at the bar and offer everybody a drink on the house

· Whichever house wine you decide on could be offered as a tipple after the church

· Cocktail or drink of your choice, or an Irish coffee, you decide, and we will price it for you.
