What better backdrop for your wedding photographs than the dramatic Derrynasaggart Mountains being reflected faithfully by the water amidst the unspoilt valleys of Southern Ireland?

It could not be more idyllic than walking from the chapel, along the banks of the lake, at your ease, to the hotel where you can enjoy your day, stress-free. If the group is over 40 the hotel will be exclusively yours.

Here in Gougane Barra Hotel we cater for small intimate weddings of up to 65 people, with meal prices starting at €45.00 per person. From our restaurant you and your guests can enjoy views of the chapel while you dine on a menu chosen personally by you, and after the meal you can celebrate into the night in our sitting rooms and bar which we utilise for entertainment and music.

We can tailor make a reception to suit your preferences and your taste to make your special day, a day to cherish for the rest of your life, and can add on such extras as drinks receptions, freshly made scones with jam and cream, sandwiches etc.

Our hotel has 26 bedrooms with an accomodation capacity of 45 to 50 people depending on requirements. We do special overnight rates, two night rates with pre wedding dinners for your guests on request. The bride and grooms accommodation is complimentary for their wedding night.
